The Academy of Art University Spring/Fall 2018 Collections
This season, the School of Fashion at Academy of Art University involved ten graduates who showcased their Spring/ Fall 2018 collections at the New York Fashion Week. I had the honor of attending the show and all of the looks were incredibly exciting. The show featured five womenswear collections and two menswear collections. Two of the seven collections came from the collaborative efforts of all the designers. There were an assortment of dresses and skirts, pants available in different hues that included silver, pink, yellow, green, white and black. As you can see the designers experimented with different shapes and cutouts. The pieces in each collection exposed beautiful detailing and technique. It also featured a different mix of silhouettes. With so many unique and distinct designers, the show was full of variety and showcased the graduate's thoughtful vision.
