Romeo Hunte's Fall/Winter 2018 Collection Was Everything!

If you follow fashion very closely, you may already know that designer Romeo Hunte is credited with dressing some the biggest names in the world. Romeo Hunte is best known for his transitional outerwear and his statement fur pieces. This year Romeo Hunte's Fall/Winter 2018 runway show during New York Fashion Week certainly did not disappoint.

His Fall/Winter 2018 runway show was characterized by lumberjack prints and fur which of course made the entire collection stir up the need to take a glamorous ski holiday. The collection featured notable pieces such as trench coats that featured patches of fur, reversible raincoats adorned over Speedo like wetsuits, PVC detailed bomber jackets that amplified the street cool factor, shearling jackets, and fur chubbies that spelled undeniable glamour. The entire collection was opulent and in his usual fashion, the models were decked out in Timberlands, which appears to partner with Hunte on a regular basis.

The color choices used were bold and the pieces were modern and sexy. This Fall/Winter 2018 runway show was characterized by the best aspects of style and fashion including practicality and simplicity with obvious hints of Avante-Garde elements. The pieces, especially the trenches, were finely crafted and even included exceptional details such as detachable sleeves, collars, and linings. He paired each combination marvelously in such a way that it was easy to see how each piece would work on its own.

According to Hunte, this collection was inspired by Aspen Colo, a city that has some of the best ski resorts in the world. In Aspen, the clothes that one wears are as much a status symbol as the hotel in which one chooses to stay. The one-piece ski suits that were used as underpinnings were a clear nod to the city of Aspen.

Hunte seems to experience more success with each year, and he is gaining more recognition from some of the most influential publications and the most talked about celebrities. Unsurprisingly, he has proven yet again that he is not to be played with as is evidenced by this new amazing collection. I cannot wait to see what he comes up with next.
